CAHL Scottsdale is pleased to host the Spring/Summer season for the CAHL Chandler's Tier 3 teams during renova­tions to the Ice Den Chandler building. Each team will play 9 regulation games plus two playoff games. The schedule, standings and statistics can be found online at under Chandler Tier 3 Division. Players are required to sign in on the score sheet before each game and wear a consistent jersey number.

CAHL Announces Adult Skills Sessions

Intro to Hockey Skating is ideal for adults interested in trying out hockey skating or for new hockey players wanting to improve on beginner skills. Full gear is recommended but not required for this Hockey Skating course. Session dates: January 17, 19, 25, February 1, 9. Session #2 dates : March 5, 13, April 4, 11, 18 and 19.

Building on a very successful Session #1, Sessions #2 and #3 will again be geared toward beginner league hockey players looking to improve their skills as well as new hockey players who can skate. These one hour sessions will continue to work on passing, shooting, stickhandling and game play. Session #2 dates: January 17, 24, February 7, 21, 28, March 7. Session #3 dates: March 14, 21, 28, April 4, 11, 18.

2014 CAHL Spring/Summer Season Information

CAHL Season begins March 16, 2014 – August 17, 2014.
All Divisions play 21 games including Playoffs.

League Fee $420 Early Bird rate:  paid in full no later than March 2, 2014.  No payment plan available for online registration.
Option 1 - $420 paid in full at registration/online by March 2, 2014
Option 2 – 3-payment Credit Card Plan
                       Payment 1 $140 due at registration
                       Payment 2 $140 due on February 2

CAHL players receive a multi-division discount of 20% off the second night.  When registering for multiple teams online, your card is submitted for pre-approval. Your card is not charged until the rink administrator approves your order. Discounts will be processed by the administrator before processing your registration. An email confirmation will be sent after your card is processed and the total will reflect the discounted amount.

Players who did not register for the 2013/14 Fall/Winter CAHL season are required to provide a printed copy of the USA Hockey registration confirmation page at registration.  To sign up for USA Hockey click HERE
Players joining CAHL for the first time must attend one of the player evaluations below in order to be placed in the correct skill division:
Novice – Expert
Thursday, March 6           7:00pm – 8:00pm  -or-
Monday, March 10          9:05pm – 10:05pm
Beginner (Rattlers)
Saturday, March 15         2:10pm – 3:20pm
There are no fees for attending an evaluation.  Captains with open roster spots will be evaluating new players and will contact individuals who are selected for a team in the appropriate skill division.  New players will not register until they are assigned to a team.  Submit New Player Evaluation form.  Efforts will be made to place all new players in the appropriate skill divisions.  Roster spots are not guaranteed and new players will be assigned to teams on a space-available basis.

Player Skill Level

Coyote Division

MONDAYS: Expert Level. Top level of the CAHL... for players who have previously played at an Elite Level of competitive hockey.

Kachina Division

TUESDAYS: Advanced League for the player who is more than Intermediate Level, but less than an Expert.

Icebreaker Division

WEDNESDAYS:Our Novice League for the less experienced player. Divided into two levels: Novice A (upper) and Novice B (lower).

Crescent Moon Division

THURSDAYS: Geared for the Intermediate player looking for a competitive league.

Greyhawk Division

FRIDAYS: For seasoned veterans, 30 and over who still love the game.

Rattlers Division - TBA

SUNDAY AFTERNOONS: For players who have completed beginner league skills sessions or have basic hockey skills and are ready to advance to league play.

Adult Hockey Overview

CAHL Adult HockeyIce Den is home to the most competitive adult hockey programs in the state. The Coyotes Adult Hockey League consists of more than 550 players on 46 teams in six skill divisions participating year-round in Spring/Summer season and a Fall/Winter this season is our beginner's league.

Sanctioned by USA Hockey, the CAHL features structured league play, as well as seasonal camps and clinics. In addition the CAHL has played host to a variety of national and international hockey tournaments, including the USA Hockey Over-30 National Tournament in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2008 as well as the 2012 and 2013 Arizona Adult Hockey Championships.

Experience the Difference

All CAHL leagues and programs are played under the auspices of USA Hockey and all events are played at the Ice Den, a state-of-the-art training facility in North Scottsdale. In addition to (3) NHL-sized ice surfaces, the Ice Den also has a 12,500 sq/ft Mountainside Fitness Platinum Club.

Through regular captain and committee meetings, the league strives to provide a structure that’s conducive to fair and safe play. Each year, league staff incorporates new rules and procedures that have been adopted by the league and incorporates them into the annual CAHL Player Handbook In addition, divisional parity is also a high priority for the CAHL. While the league understands the desire for teams to form based on friendships and convenience, it also has a responsibility to make the games competitive. As a result, the CAHL staff does reserve the right to move players or whole teams into more appropriate skill levels if necessary.

League standings, statistics, rosters and league updates are posted daily and are available online via Pointstreak, the Ice Den’s fully automated scorekeeping system.

Pointstreak is a new, fully automated scorekeeping and stats system that has been recently purchased by the Ice Den. It eliminates the old paper scoresheets as scorekeepers use the Pointstreak touchscreen to track the games. In addition, the system generates pre-printed scoresheets based on the official league rosters approved by the league staff. It also serves as the on-line membership tool. CAHL members simply click on their divisional link and instantly enjoy access to team and divisional schedules, standings, team records, scoring leaders and more.
