Registration for the 2015 CAHL Scottsdale Spring/Summer season is now OPEN.  

The 2015 CAHL Scottsdale Spring/Summer 21-game season begins March 22 and will end August 24.  

All returning players must confirm their roster spot and payment format (individual or team fee) with their team captain prior to registering.  Individuals may register and pay in full before February 28 to take advantage of the Early-Bird Discount before it expires.  

Substitute Goalies and Free Agents may contact the CAHL Office by phone or email for placement assistance.  

Rosters will be frozen on May 31, 2015.  At that time no additional registrations will be accepted for the remainder of the Spring/Summer season.  
New team applications are now being accepted for the 2015 Spring/Summer season for the CAHL Scottsdale and Chandler.  Teams will be placed on a waitlist on a first come-first served basis and will be notified if a space opens up in the appropriate skill division.  Additional players may be added prior to the start of the season however new teams must have a minimum roster of 10 committed players plus a goalie in order to apply.  A non-refundable deposit of $630 (equal to one skater+goalie) will be required to secure your space if a spot becomes available, deposit may be applied to league fees/Team Fee.  Contact the Adult Hockey Department in Scottsdale or Chandler for more information.

Early Bird payment plan*:

  • First payment = $210 at time of registration
  • Second payment = $210 on February 28, 2015


Individual Fees in Full:  $460 at registration after February 28, 2015

Individual Fees payment plan*:

  • First payment = $160 at registration
  • Second payment = $150 charged on April 24, 2015
  • Third payment = $150 charged on May 24, 2015

*Payment plans require a credit card number on file.


  • Goalies discount receive a 50% discount off the season fees above
  • 2nd team discount:  Skaters receive 20% off the second night when playing on multiple teams/divisions
  • Captains discount:  Captains receive 20% off their season with a minimum roster number requirement
  • 5-Game sub package:  $150 for 5 games – teams must meet eligibility requirements before using subs, restrictions apply, packages are non-refundable/non-transferrable


Team Fee in Full:  $5900 prior to the first scheduled game

Team Fee Payment Plan:

  • First Payment = $2950 prior to the first scheduled game
  • Second Payment = $2950 prior to the second scheduled game
  • Team Fee Structure: 
    Teams using the Team Fee option must arrange for one player to make full payment.  The Team Captain must submit a complete roster, collect all registration forms and printed USA Hockey registration confirmation barcodes for all players on the official team roster to be turned in prior to the first scheduled game.  Roster maximum size is limited to 17 skaters and one goalie.  No discounts, individual payments/payment plans will apply.  Team Fees are non-refundable/non-transferable.

All players MUST be currently registered with USA Hockey for the 2014-2015 season.  A printed copy of the USA Hockey registration confirmation page with barcode is required – registrations will not be accepted without the printed copy.  To register, visit

In order to provide quality programs, the CAHL Staff reserves the right to place all players and teams in appropriate skill divisions. If you have any questions regarding the CAHL,  please contact Becky  via email.


In order to place new players in the appropriate skill division, new player evaluations are held prior to the start of each season.  Captains and other evaluators will be on hand to assist in evaluating skill levels of new players and placement in open roster spots.  New players will sign-in at the evaluation and be issued a league jersey for the session but they will not register until they have been assigned to a team.  
There is no charge to attend an evaluation session but you must email to reserve your space.  Please specify in your email which session you plan to attend.

New Player Evaluation Sessions:
Friday, March 6, 9:00pm-10:00pm:  Advanced, Upper Intermediate and Over-30 (Coyotes, Kachina and Greyhawk Divisions)
Tuesday, March 10, 8:20pm-9:20pm:  Lower Intermediate, Recreational (Crescent Moon and Icebreaker Divisions)
Saturday, March 14, 12:30pm-1:30pm:  Beginner (Rattlers Division Only)


The Ice Den Scottsdale is home to the most competitive adult hockey programs in the state. The Coyotes Adult Hockey League consists of more than 600 players on 46 teams in six skill divisions participating year-round in Spring/Summer season and a Fall/Winter season.

Sanctioned by USA Hockey, the CAHL features structured league play, as well as seasonal camps and clinics. In addition the CAHL has played host to a variety of national and international hockey tournaments, including the USA Hockey Over-30 National Tournament in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2008 as well as the 2012 and 2013 Arizona Adult Hockey Championships.


All CAHL leagues and programs are played under the auspices of USA Hockey and all events are played at the Ice Den Scottsdale. Located on Bell Road just east of the 101 Freeway, the Ice Den Scottsdale is a 150,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art ice skating and entertainment center and still home to the NHL's Arizona Coyotes Hockey Club who practice at the facility on a regular basis. The Ice Den Scottsdale is also home to a Mountainside Fitness Platinum training center, Coyotes Ice Sports Prop Shop, an Over Easy breakfast diner, Chilly Bean Café, Divalicious women’s boutique and 18 Degrees, North Scottsdale's coolest neighborhood grill.

Through regular captain and committee meetings, the league strives to provide a structure that’s conducive to fair and safe play. Each year, league staff incorporates new rules and procedures that have been adopted by the league and incorporates them into the annual CAHL Player Handbook In addition, divisional parity is also a high priority for the CAHL. While the league understands the desire for teams to form based on friendships and convenience, it also has a responsibility to make the games competitive. As a result, the CAHL staff does reserve the right to move players or whole teams into more appropriate skill levels if necessary.

League standings, statistics, rosters and league updates are posted daily and are available online via Pointstreak, the Ice Den’s fully automated scorekeeping system.

Pointstreak is a new, fully automated scorekeeping and stats system that has been recently purchased by the Ice Den. It eliminates the old paper scoresheets as scorekeepers use the Pointstreak touchscreen to track the games. In addition, the system generates pre-printed scoresheets based on the official league rosters approved by the league staff. It also serves as the on-line membership tool. CAHL members simply click on their divisional link and instantly enjoy access to team and divisional schedules, standings, team records, scoring leaders and more.


  • Roster Freeze:  Rosters freeze will be initiated after the 10th week of play. No exceptions.
