Session admission tickets are purchased at the Administration Center inside the Ice Den lobby. The session tickets are adhesive stickers with the specific date/time of each session clearly visible. Similar to ski lift tickets, these can be applied directly to clothing, however DO NOT apply these directly to leather, suede or other sensitive materials. Metal ‘ticket wickets’ are provided at the window and all are encouraged to affix their ticket to jacket zipper or belt loop using these wickets. Your session ticket must be worn and visible during the session time.

More than 800 pairs of ice hockey and figure skates are available for your skating pleasure. Skate sizes range from toddler size 6 up to adult size 15 however due to skater volume on some sessions, we can not guarantee your exact size will be available. All skaters are encouraged to arrive early to get their skates. To assist with sizing, a skate sizing mat is located at the skate rental counter.

To assist some of our younger skaters, the Ice Den provides a limited number of skate trainers for public skating sessions (except the TRL session). Skate trainers can be rented for $3 at the Admission Center or from the Guest Services Rep. stationed in the coned area of the ice rink. (Look for bright yellow jackets).

A small coned area (located at the south end of the rink) is a safer area designated specifically for the skate trainers. Child with skate trainer can be in coned area with or without an adult. Children using a trainer outside the coned area (on the general surface) must be accompanied by an adult skater.

For safety reasons, only the weight of the child should be placed on the trainer. Adults should only assist the child and avoiding putting their weight on the trainer. While using the trainer, please demonstrate proper use, common sense, and courtesy to all patrons.

Is your group or organization trying to raise funds? The Ice Den offers a cool way to raise money and have fun at the same time. Its easy… pick a public skating date/time. We provide you with discount skating tickets that you can sell at a profit. Not only will you raise funds, but you will have a blast doing so! For more information, please call 480-473-5827.

When available, the Ice Den rents private sheets of ice for exclusive functions. Private birthday parties, reunions, corporate outings, group events, etc. can have their own ice rink for private skating, broomball, curling and other ice activities. Please remember to have your admission ticket clearly visible at all times as the rink monitors will be checking for proper identification. Regardless of your skill level, there are elements of risk in ice skating. Please familiarize yourself with the posted skater’s responsibility code and the language on your admission ticket. Also remember to use common sense, show courtesy to others and anticipate dangerous situations. If you need help in any way, please ask one of our guest service reps (yellow jackets) for assistance.

Customer safety is a priority at the Ice Den. In order make our public skating sessions as safe as possible, advanced skaters wanting to practice jumps, spins, leg lifts or other advanced skating techniques are encouraged to attend the 20-30 weekly freestyle skating sessions that are offered to practice these maneuvers.
