John Koper Memorial Fund

The CAHA association has lost one of its own, with the passing of John Koper on Saturday, June 12. John was very involved in coaching his boys, Chandler and Connor, in the CAHA House and Jr Coyotes Travel programs. John and his family have been involved at the Ice Den dating back to the facility's opening 12 years ago.

Members of the CAHA family, past and present have set up a memorial fund in John's honor. If you wish to, please make your donations to:

HOUSE EVALUATIONS

ALL PLAYERS MUST ATTEND!

House evaluations are a great way for players to get back on the ice and gear up for the hockey season. More importantly, the hockey staff uses these sessions to properly evaluate each player for the purpose of creating teams and league parity. All house players are assigned 2 eval sessions and ice times are determined by the first letter of the player's last name (see below)

All players registered for the 2010-2011 season need to attend house evaluations. Please attend the divisional times per your last name. These sessions are important for forming teams so if you can’t attend, please contact the CAHA office ASAP… 480-473-5822.

ICE DEN ANNOUNCES TANNER'S KIDS FIRST HOCKEY PROGRAM

Tanner’s Kids First Hockey Program is a FREE introductory program designed to get boys & girls ages 4-8 interested in the sport of hockey. Participants receive

(3) 45 min. on-ice sessions
a Tanner’s Kids hockey jersey
the use of hockey equipment & skates

The Ice Den will run (5) Tanner’s Kids programs this fall & winter and space is limited. You must not be registered in an Ice Den skating or hockey program to be eligible. CLICK HERE to register.

USA HOCKEY FEE

USA Hockey has now enacted the Individual Membership Registration process on-line. Members are now responsible for their own registration.

Click Here to access the USA Hockey form. Your registration will be effective from September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2011. Once players complete their on-line USA Hockey Registration, they must provide a copy of the USA Hockey confirmation to the administration office no later than September 11, 2010,otherwise player will be ineligible to participate until this form is submitted. USA Hockey sets their fees over the course of each summer. For the 2010-2011 season the national fee is $30 and the state fee is $15 for a total of $45.

pOINTSREAK

League standings, statistics, rosters and league updates are posted daily and are available online via Pointstreak, the Ice Den’s fully automated scorekeeping system.

Pointstreak is a new, fully automated scorekeeping and stats system that has been recently purchased by the Ice Den. It eliminates the old paper scoresheets as scorekeepers use the Pointstreak touchscreen to track the games. In addition, the system generates pre-printed scoresheets based on the official league rosters approved by the league staff. It also serves as the on-line membership tool. CAHL members simply click on their divisional link and instantly enjoy access to team and divisional schedules, standings, team records, scoring leaders and more.

HOME FACILITY

ICE DEN – HOME OF THE JR COYOTES

The home facility for the CAHA Jr. Coyotes program is the state-of-the-art Ice Den, located in north Scottsdale. More than just an ice rink, the Ice Den was proclaimed by USA Today as a ‘Top 10’ rink the nation and Arizona Republic claimed it as the “Best Place in the Valley for Hockey”.
